I was recruited by Prof. Craig Knoblock and Prof. Pedro Szekely to work in the Information Integration group. I work as a web developer and researcher for the group. Currently I am working on UI development using Polymer for a Search Engine Building tool called DIG. I am also working on another project which involves Semantic Labeling.

I worked on content-based document search. The aim of the project was to build a search engine for a private cloud platform to reduce user search time. My role involved research to figure out the best possible way to index documents on the cloud. The proposed architecture included Apache Hadoop and Apache Solr. The final outcome was a prototype that was built using Solr and Spring Boot . I mostly handled the Solr configurations.

I was given the opportunity to work under Dr. Balaraman Ravindran as a part of the the 'Reconfigurable and Intelligent Systems' group. Two of us fellow interns were roped into a project initiated by Oil and Natural Gas Corperation (ONGC) India. My task was to modify the storage structure of OpendTect, a seismic analysis software, using the base language of the software Qt .
